Dear Friends,
I am writing join the many voices of family and friends in offering my support during this difficult time for you, your country and loved ones.
Although this situation may be difficult and without obvious reason, it is important that the work of St. Boniface Haiti Foundation continue to provide for the community of Fond des Blancs and others who may be suffering at this time. My time in Fond des Blancs taught me many things about health, development and ways of improving aspects of quality of life. While approaches to development may be debated, there are two things that I have learned will never change: St. Boniface Hospital and its programs play a crucial role in the community it serves; and, both the Fond des Blancs and Haitian communities have the resiliency to withstand anything.
It is because of this that I have sincere faith that with time, the country of Haiti can recover from such a disaster. I ask that you, the St. Boniface and Fond des Blancs communities, continue on with the amazing work you do, and incredible perseverance you exhibit, each and every day. Although I cannot fathom the loss and devastation you have encountered, please know that you are constantly in my thoughts, and I will continue to support you in any way that I can.
Much Love,
Nicole
