THE HARVEST HAS BEGUN!
Test harvest reveals large number of tilapia ready to eat.

Food for the Poor's fish pond experts made a trip to Fond des Blancs to scout out our ponds and ensure that they are ready to harvest. Villagers were surprised by the number and size of the fish.

The St. Boniface Hospital in Haiti is launching a new program that will provide malnourished children with much needed vitamins and nutrients.  We will begin making and distributing Akamil, a nutritional supplement, to children in our nutrition program.

From Surviving to Thriving: St. Boniface Offers a Place for Recovery and Rehabilitation

After January 12th, our goal became to restore the health, mobility and independence for some of those most vulnerable.


Field Work in Fond des Blancs - A Team Endeavor

Throughout a two week evaluation, we were able to access the program's efficacy in the field. We also got a unique perspective on St. Boniface's other programs and services in the 16 communities we visited.
