The St. Boniface Haiti Foundation is working hard to improve access to and quality of education in Fond des Blancs and to develop leaders who will help advance the community. Haiti is one of one of only six countries in the world, and the only country in the western hemisphere, where less than 50 percent of children are enrolled in primary school.

We believe all children should be able to receive an education. Education is key to breaking the endless cycle of poverty. We have over 700 children in our Scholarship Programs for primary and secondary school. We send the most promising students to universities, medical schools, and nursing schools. These students return to Fond des Blancs to work for us and give back to the community upon graduation.

The St. Boniface Haiti Foundation also provides teacher training, literacy programs and assistance to schools in an effort to meet the needs of the entire community.
