The focus of an immersion experience is to see and understand life in Haiti with particular emphasis on the area of Fond des Blancs. Participants will visit the hospital, community projects, market day, and the outlying areas. When possible, a visit at Mother Teresa’s Home for Children and Home for the Dying will be included.
Those who go on an Immersion Trip to Haiti return home with a different perspective. Each person is moved by the experience in a different way. . .seeing the extreme poverty up close. . . talking with the people and playing with the children. . .holding the babies . . .visiting the patients in the hospital. The people of Haiti struggle every day for survival and have few possessions, yet they are kind and will share what little they have with strangers. They have an incredible amount of faith in God . . .and they will touch your heart!
