The St. Boniface Haiti Foundation is involved in a wide range of medical, educational, and community development projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the poor in rural Haiti. Our capacity to help the poor in Fond des Blancs is greatly increased by the assistance of our partners, whom we are so very grateful to and thankful for. The local community and peasant co-operatives provide advice, guidance, and assistance which is invaluable in our efforts. Our other international partners include:
Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL: Provides surgical teams to Haiti and care for patients coming to the U.S. for treatment.
Catholic Medical Mission Board: Provides medicines for prevenion of HIV transmission from mother to child at time of delivery.
Catholic Relief Services: Provides truckloads of food and other staples.
Christian Aid Ministries: Provides medicines for our hospital.
Fe Y Allegria: A Jesuit organization that supports comprehensive popular education and social promotion among impoverished peoples, is doing teacher training in our area and partnering with us to build new schools.
Food for the Poor: Provides housing, water wells, and equipment for fishing villages.
Partners in Health: Provides advice and training for community health workers
Ray Tye Medical Aid Foundation: Pays for hospital costs of patients receiving care in the U.S.
Saint Mary’s Medical Center, Lewiston, MA: Provides work retreat groups, expertise, and consultation and medical care for Haitians coming to the U. S.
Saint Vincent’s Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL: Provides surgical teams to Haiti and care for patients coming to the U. S. for treatment.
Tufts-New England Medical Center, Boston, MA: Physicians provide services free of charge.
