Nannette M. Canniff, President/CEO, Co-founder. Nannette was one of the original pilgrims who traveled to Haiti in 1983. She knew that her life would never be the same. Even though the youngest of her ten children was only eight, she had the courage and conviction to say “Yes” to God. She worked tirelessly out of her home to raise money for the poor of Haiti with her children regularly stuffing envelopes to help. Nannette has taken thousands of people to Haiti to experience life in the third world. She has inspired many. In 25 years she has never wavered in her commitment to the poor of Fond des Blancs. The organization was operated from her home for 24 years until office space was secured in 2008.
Conor Shapiro, Director General In January 2002 Conor went on his first trip to Haiti with a work retreat group from Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Concord, MA. Despite a challenging first trip, Conor knew that would return to Haiti. He graduated from Middlebury College in 2003 and, that summer, asked Nannette Canniff, Prseident/CEO, if he could return to Haiti as a volunteer English teacher. Except for taking time off to receive his masters' degree in public health from Boston University in 2007, Conor has been in Haiti ever since. Conor has spent the past three years as Program Director for the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation and, this past December, Conor was appointed Director General of Haiti Operations for St. Boniface in Fond des Blanc.
