A Man of Many Talents
The singing lab tech ultrasonographer

Meet Sergo Suprice, one of our brightest and most versatile employees. When we first opened Xavier House in Port-au-Prince eleven years ago, Sergo came to live there and complete secondary school. His warm and enthusiastic personality made him popular with the other boys pursuing their studies there.

Sergo had a goal. He dreamed of being a laboratory technician at our hospital in Fond des Blancs. He was accepted into a 3-year program and did well. He spent his last 18 months as house monitor overseeing the running of the busy household in addition to his scholastic obligations. He was eagerly anticipated in the lab at the hospital in Fond des Blancs where he has worked ever since. But this was not enough for Sergo. When the opportunity arose to train as an ultrasonographer, he jumped at it. It was a grueling program which he attacked with his usual resolve. He now spends his time divided between ultrasound screening and the laboratory. He excels at both.

Sergo with a patientWhen he is not at the hospital, Sergo is at his music school teaching the children at St. Francis Xavier School to play musical instruments. His great personality has made him very popular with the students.

Sergo has since married and is sending his wife to school. This is a young man with ambition as his middle name. We are both proud of and blessed by all that he has become.
